Beau Notes

Patience
Beau Hollis

Producers put out trailers for the movies that they make
So as to show consumers that its work the price we pay
When we out

And viewers watch excitedly on the edges of their seats
But we don’t even really know if it will be released
Or what it’s about

churus:
And I hate to be ungrateful but it’s painful that I have to wait
Did you go and do this knowing you were showing me what I can’t have today
I don’t really deal well with long periods of time
And patience is a virtue but it isn’t one of mine

Restaurants take pictures of the entres that they serve
And plaster them on windows just to make us hungrier
It isn’t fair.

The food is made of plastic but the pictures do the trick
And when you place your order they may say their out of it
And they won’t care

(chorus)

Ever since I met you I have tried to keep my space
But I cannot deny the smile on my face when you’re around

And now I finally realize how much you mean to me
Why did this have to happen during my last weak in town?

(chorus)

I don’t really deal well with long periods of time
But I guess for you I might just have to try
I will wait for you
I will wait for you
I will wait for you
I will wait for you

extra verse:
A friend of mine said “Beau, you just wrote that about yourself
And if you ever want this silly song to sell
that just won’t do

Here’s how you change it if you’d like to get paid
Add a verse for all the guys who are trying to get laid”
I disapprove

But I won’t lecture like I’m some righteous dude
So here’s an extra little verse I wrote for you:

Oh, girls, they wear their makeup and they dress up nice and cute
They smile and toss their hair and try to get to you
In many ways

And when you ask them if they’d like to go to bed
They might just laugh at you or maybe shake their head
And slap your face

(Chorus)
